In the spring of 2013 I underwent four months of private training and nutrition coaching with renowned strength and conditioning coach Jason Ferruggia. Jason and his wife Jen helped me achieve my dream body. Get the program here on the Bikini Body Workouts website. Keep an eye on this blog for my video diaries during my time in the Bikini Body Workouts test group. I also highly recommends Jason’s Renegade Diet Book and Renegade Cardio.

Blindly assuming that all carbs are bad is a giant mistake. When we make blanket statements like ‘don’t eat carbs’ it only confuses the message we send to the general public. A dogmatic, black & white approach to carbs is hurting the mindset of what we can & can’t eat. The idea that carbs are the enemy is a common appeal to emotion & popular folklore rather than the full range of scientific evidence. Your carb intake should be individualized according to your personal preference, tolerance, and athletic and aesthetic goals. Me—my carbs of choice are white rice, sweet potatoes, & white potatoes. And lots of ‘em, especially post workout.

http://natemiyaki.com/2012/10/04/5-simple-food-choice-tips/ After all of my research it seems there is only one kind of food that can make you fat: Too much. This past spring I had the spectacular opportunity to work with a strength coach I have long admired and respected--Jason Ferruggia. I was a test subject for a new workout/diet program he was developing with his fantastic wife Jen Ferruggia . With their help I achieved my dream body (six-pack included) and cannot thank them enough for having such a tremendous impact on my life, in many more ways than just physically. Bikini Body Workouts is now available and they used one of my progress photos on the website! The photo above is actually me only about halfway through. My final results you can see here ====> http://instagram.com/p/ZebW_4TTlU/ I also kept a partial video diary of my progress during the last half of the program. You can see that below: There’s no such thing as a fattening food – in fact, the term in and of itself is a misnomer. Any food whether it’s 'clean' or 'dirty,' 'healthy' or 'unhealthy' will cause fat gain when eaten in excess. I love that Arnold Schwarzenegger said this. I have found for myself that this type of mindset has been absolutely imperative in my ability to stay in shape or to get leaner. I simply cannot survive by depriving myself of things I enjoy eating. I need balance or else my diet will go way off the rails and I'll just end up binging on the foods I've restricted. Read the full article here:
