Sketch: A Short Film

I was cast in a supporting role in the short silent film “Sketch“, produced by Desert Cinema Productions. I finally got to use my figure skating skills for acting! I learned to skate when I was three years old and went on to figure skate competitively until age 18. I used to love skating so much and was good at it. I wish I would have kept up my skills but once I left Peace River and moved to Edmonton for University I was too intimidated to keep going. Ice time is extremely expensive in New York so the only opportunity I have to skate is about once a year during the winter--I'll usually go public skating at Bryant Park because it's free. It's outdoors though so the scenery is lovely! There's a little part of me that thinks one day I will take skating lessons again and get my axel back!
